Baa Atoll (South Maalhosmadulu Atoll)

The Maalhosmadulu Atolls consist of the South & North (Baa & Raa). Situated in the northern
part of the Maldivian archipelago Baa & Raa have only recently been open for tourism.
The area of Baa consists of South Maalhosmadulu and the smaller Goihoo Atoll to the the south.
South Maalhosmadulu is around 42 kms (26 miles) in length and 32 kms (20 miles) in wide.
Pristine reefs can be found at Baa both isn the channels and inside the Atoll itself.
Manta Rays can often be seen duting the southwest monsoon season, May - July.
